How to Care for Your Tile & Stone
We recommend that your wipe down your floors weekly with a damp mop. If the floors are in a high traffic area cleaning may need to be done more frequently. When choosing the cleaner for you tile or stone floors make sure that it does not contain acids, vinegar, ammonia or chlorines. This could cause the grout to become discolored. Also another product to avoid when cleaning your stone and tile floors is a soap or detergent because it could cause mildew to grow. Another good way to protection and care for you tile and stone floors is to have door mats or rugs at various places within the home to help collect dirt, grit, or other various materials that could be tracked onto the floors. Rugs will keep the wear of your floor to a minimum.

Porcelain tile is made up of clays and minerals, and the combinations of these two fired at an extremely high heat result in a tile that is very durable and resistant to moisture. Porcelain tile characteristics include: scratch resistant, denser tile, stain resistant, moisture resistant, easy to clean surfaces, diverse uses in residential and commercial settings.
Ceramic
Ceramic is manufactured of mostly clay and other natural substances. Ceramic characteristics include: durability, resilient, and it can withstand even the most high traffic areas. Ceramic tile can be used in residential or commercial settings as well. Ceramic can also be cold and difficult to stand on for long periods of time.
